Die AABA Form weicht etwas vom Standard ab: Bernie Taupin lieferte Lyrics, die Elton John selbst mit einem Verse am Schluss ergänzte, was dem Song erst die humanistische Perspektive gibt. Taupins Verse sind Zeilen eines Introvertierten, der sich vom Betrieb der Welt abgestossen in die eigenen Kreise zurückzieht. Elton John nahm für die Musik offenbar den Ausdruck «Holy Moses» auf und schrieb gospelartige Musik zu den Zeilen von Taupin. Richtigerweise musste er einen letzten Verse, der zu seiner Musik passte, ergänzen. Somit entstand dieser AABAA-Song (ohne Reprise). Man kann auch den Instrumental Verse als Reprise des zweiten Verses sehen, der aber an falscher Stelle steht.
