Thematisch geht es um Frauenrecht, um Nordirland (Bloody Sunday), um den Gefängnis-Aufstand in Attica und um andere Aktivisten wie die Black Panther Angela Davis oder den inhaftierten MC5-Manager und Anarchisten John Sinclair). Die zweite Platte enthält All-Star-Live-Auftritte der Plastic Ono Band vom 15. Dezember 1969 im Lyceum Ballroom, London und vom 6. Juni 1971 im Fillmore East, New York. Crispin Kott findet im PopMatters Beitrag gute Worte für das Album: «world’s most expensive underground newspaper» und «undercooked effort by Lennon overcooked by Spector’s production».
