Im Gegensatz zu No Milk Today, das sich ebenfalls an der Differenz öffentlich – privat abarbeitet, sieht der Erzähler von «Look Through Any Window» in die Wohnungen der Leute hinein, wie sie sich für den Tag, das öffentliche Leben, vorbereiten. Das öffentliche Leben ist geschäftig, Menschen scheinen wie Ameisen, man sieht als Beobachter mehr, dass sie etwas tun als was genau sie eigentlich tun. Vermutlich weniger ein voyeuristischer Song als vielmehr ein Spiegel des britischen Workingclass-Lebens.
