Flipside der Paperback Writer Single. «Rain» war die erste Aufnahme, bei der das Magnetband eine immense Rolle bei der Aufnahme spielte – so dass Giles Martin davon sagte, dass diese die erste Aufnahme war, die das Band als Instrument verwendete (im Promofilm: Giles Martin On The New Remixed And Remastered Version Of The Beatles’ ‘Revolver’ von 2022). Erstens wurde der Backingtrack verlangsamt und zweitens arbeiteten die Beatles (zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte der Tonaufnahmen) mit rückwärts abgespielten Tonspuren für die Gitarre und die Vocals am Ende des Songs.
