John Lennon erhielt oder erwarb 1965 eine britische KB Discomatic Jukebox (mit einem Mechanismus, der in der Schweiz gefertigt wurde). Sie war mit 40 Singles ausgestattet und begleitete ihn auf den Tourneen. Die Quellen für die Bestückung der Jukebox widersprechen sich teilweise und sind unvollständig. Auffällig ist, dass vor allem Singles in der Jukebox waren, die die Beatles beeinflussten und nicht etwa die eigene Musik – keine einzige Beatles-Single!
Die Jukebox war bis 1989 im Besitz von John Midwinter, einen Promoter aus Bristol. Dieser liess sie durch Christie's in einer Auktion mit Beatles Memorabilia versteigern. Für das Gerät wurden £2500.– bezahlt.
