Diese extensive und liebevoll hergestellte Box dokumentiert das psychedelische Frühwerk von Pink Floyd in den Jahren 1965, als sich die Gruppe noch Tea Set nannte, bis 1972, der Zeit bevor The Dark Side Of The Moon herauskam, das Album, mit dem der Band der späte Durchbruch gelang. Die Box enthält 33 CDs, DVDs, BDs und Vinyl Singles (die frühen non-album Singles). Dazu kommen Memorabilia wie Fotos, Replicas von Postern und Tour Programmen. Der Release kommt in einer schwarzen Schachtel, die wie der frühe Tourbus von Pink Floyd gestaltet ist.

Die John Latham Recordings sind ein langer psychedelischer Jam, der für den Film «Speak» von 1962 und in neun Segemente unterteilt wurde. Der Jam gleicht der Mittelsektion aus «Interstellar Overdrive», wie es die Band oft live aufgeführt hat. Die Sessions fanden am 20. Oktober 1967 in den De Lane Lea Studios statt.
Editionspolitik
Nur ein Teil des Box Sets, die Volumes 1–6, wurde seit 2017 auch individuell veröffentlicht. Volume 7 (Continu/ation) indes ist exklusives Material, das bisher nur im Zusammenhang mit diesem Box Set erschienen ist.
Für das Publikum, das mit weniger Material vorlieb nimmt wurde eine 2 CD Comp. mit dem Titel «The Early Years 1967–1972: Cre/ation» veröffentlicht.
