Das Album wurde zumindest in Nordamerika mit Plakaten beworben, die verkündeten: «GLOBAL WARMING IS GOOD» (siehe: pedestrian.tv). Grimes veröffentlichte zudem das folgende Gedicht:
I, Poet of destruction, hereby declare that Global Warming is good.
So, you humans have carved your existence into the earth,
lest you be forgotten.
Why lament?
Be who you are, embrace your demise,
For you are the architect of it.
How smart you are, to eradicate a species as resilient as your own.

Diese Marketingidee arbeitete damit, dass viele mit dem Widerspruch leben, der kognitiven Dissonanz: wir wissen, was passiert und können, auch wenn wir wollen, nichts dagegen ausrichten. Statt sich zu grämen bietet Grimes hier einen anderen Weg an, den Widerspruch aufzulösen, einen zynischen
und kontroversen.
